MiWoCI 2017

The 9th Mittweida Workshop on Computational Intelligence (MiWoCI) is in the tradition to highlight recent trends and developments in machine learning for data analysis and visualization with main emphasis (but not exclusive) on prototype based models like learning vector quantization, self-organizing maps and neural gas. The workshop focuses on new theoretic models and problem solutions as well as interesting applications for example in bioinformatics, medicine, or car assistance systems. The topics could include problems like handling of big data, transfer learning, functional data, sparse models, or other related problems.

One particular aspect of MiWoCI is to encourage young researchers to present and to discuss their results with other young scientists as well as with senior researchers from the field.

As in the last years, we prefer to provide sufficient time for discussions. Therefore, the time for a talk is restricted to 15min. except invited talks.
